How Vanaheimr was rebuilt, mark by mark

What We Found
The attestation runs through the tradition's own sources: ᚢᛅᚾᚼᛁᛘᛁᚱ. Meaning: "Van-home".
The figure behind the name: Vanaheimr has no myth of its own: no surviving story is set inside it, no traveller describes it, no poem is located there.
What the Name Carried In
In Vanaheimr the Wise Powers Created Him. In the wisdom-contest with the giant Vafþrúðnir, Óðinn asks whence Njörðr came among the sons of the Æsir, he who rules so many temples and sanctuaries though he was not raised among the Æsir. The giant's answer is the realm's one great attestation: in Vanaheimr the wise powers created him and gave him to the gods as a hostage — and at the doom of the age he will come back home among the wise Vanir.
The First War in the World. The seeress remembers the world's first war, and it begins inside the Æsir's own hall: Gullveig — the thrice-burned, thrice-born witch whom the Vanir sent or the Æsir harboured — is speared and burned in Hárr's hall, yet lives. Then the gods took counsel on whether the Æsir should pay tribute, and when battle was joined it was the Vanir who broke the wall of Ásgarðr and trod the field in victory — the seeress calls them the war-wise people, vígspá Vǫr.
A spelling that has to carry stories like these is not a label. It is equipment.
Where It Stood Before Us
A realm named once in a wisdom-contest can leave no votives: Vanaheimr's evidence is manuscript evidence. Vafþrúðnismál and Völuspá survive in the Codex Regius of the Poetic Edda (GKS 2365 4to, c. 1270); Snorri's Gylfaginning and the Heimskringla tradition transmit the prose attestations. No runic inscription names Vanaheimr, and none names the Vanir as a kindred — a silence the realm shares with most of the cosmological furniture. The material record belongs to the Vanir's cult rather than their home: Adam of Bremen's description (c. 1070s) of the temple at Uppsala, where the idol Fricco — Freyr — stood between Wodan and Thor, fashioned with an immense phallus as the god of peace and pleasure; and the dense stratum of Scandinavian place-names compounded with Njörðr and Freyr (Swedish Närlunda from Njarðarlundr, Frøslev, Frösåker and their kin), which maps the kindred's worship across the landscape even where the mythology is silent. The Yngling dynasty's claimed descent from Yngvi-Freyr ties that cult geography to the great burial mounds of Gamla Uppsala — the closest the earth comes to showing us Vanaheimr's people. The bench inherits all of it — the web temple is the newest site, not the first.
What We Rejected
The plain ASCII vanaheimr — admissible as a fallback, never as the primary. A wrong accent would have been worse: the rulebook is explicit that a misplaced mark is worse than none.
What We Set Down
Vanaheimr — The restoration keeps one feature the ASCII form drops. One is enough to matter, and the label says so plainly: Tier-2.
For the voice: 'WAH-nah-HAYM-r' — begin with a w as in 'water', keep both a's short and open, glide the -hei- as in 'hay', and finish with a light rolled r.
The temple stands at /sites/vanaheimr/ — the notes above are public in its Scholarly Edition, sources and all.
